Cavour advised Elettric80 shareholders in the reorganization of the company’s shares.
Elettric80, based in Viano, Reggio Emilia, deliver integrated automation solutions – Freeway® Systems, with focus on the high volume consumer goods market.
Freeway® Systems are game changing automation solutions, which enhance the production and distribution of goods that we use in our everyday lives. The Company design and build the Robotic Palletizer cells, Laser Guided Vehicles (LGVs), Stretch-wrappers (Silkworm) and High density storage systems (Smart-Store) that make up the Freeway® Systems. In 2015 turnover was 120 million Euro.
For a period Cavour advised the Company in a negotiation with a leading industrial group in order to define a strategic long term alliance with a gradual entry in the company and to get the majority in 5-6 years. This negotiation was abandoned for a change of strategy by the potential investor. Therefore, one of the minority shareholders decided to sell his stake and appointed Cavour to
search potential financial investors interested to entry in the Company’s shares. Several PEGs have been approached and there were some preliminary offers but, in the meantime, the other shareholders decided to acquire the shares of the selling partner. Banca Popolare dell’Emilia Romagna has financed the acquisition.
The deal has been closed in December 2015.
